The final round of the British Motocross Championship was delivered history by Dirt Store Triumph Racing's very own, Tommy Searle! Overcoming a rollercoaster weekend to secure the 2025 MX2 crown, Tommy handed Triumph Motorcycles their first-ever national motocross title in the UK. An incredible achievement in the brand’s debut season with the all new TF 250-X.

A Championship Built on Grit
Tommy arrived at Lyng with a 29-point buffer over rival Charlie Heyman, but the day started with drama. Loose wheel spokes caused a DNF in race one, slashing his advantage and putting the championship on the line. Showing the composure of a veteran, Tommy delivered when it mattered most, bringing the Triumph home in a controlled fifth place in MX2 to seal the title!
The victory is more than a personal milestone. Triumph becomes the first major, and only British manufacturer in the modern era to capture a British Motocross Championship in its rookie year.
Team Pride
Team Manager: Jon Giffard praised both rider and crew
“Tommy has been a class act all year. This season has had plenty of highs and lows, but I’m so proud of the entire team and grateful to our partners. Bringing Triumph their first professional motocross national title on the new TF range is incredible. Now it’s time to enjoy this success, regroup, and defend it in 2026!”
Devron Boulton, Triumph Motorcycles GM for the UK & Ireland, added:
“To secure the British MX2 title in our very first year is an incredible achievement and a proud moment for everyone at Triumph. This is more than a title—it’s the beginning of a new chapter in our racing story and a testament to the hard work and passion of our riders, engineers, and entire team.”
Triumph’s debut year ends with a championship and a statement: the British brand is back at the sharp end of motocross, and with Searle confirming he’ll return in 2026, the story is only just beginning.
